Steve Lamberti is a nationally recognized multifamily real estate executive with more than 40 years of leadership experience across public REITs and private investment platforms. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for the acquisition, asset management, operation, and value creation of large-scale multifamily portfolios and has executed more than $15 billion in real estate transactions. He is widely regarded for his disciplined strategic judgment, operational focus, and ability to build durable, high-performing organizations.
Steve served as President of Highmark Residential, the multifamily platform of Starwood Capital, where he established and led the firm’s multifamily operations, overseeing asset strategy, portfolio optimization, acquisition review, and due diligence. Prior to Highmark, he was President of Milestone Management and President of Milestone Apartments REIT, guiding periods of significant growth and institutionalization. Earlier roles include Vice President of Archon Group and Chief Operating Officer of Archon Management Services, a majority-owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. Across these roles, Steve was known for consistently maximizing asset performance while maintaining strong governance and operational standards.
In addition to his executive leadership, Steve has contributed meaningfully to the broader industry through service on national boards and committees, including the National Multifamily Housing Council and the National Apartment Association’s Legislative Committee and Investment Subcommittee. He holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno, and the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
